Urban Air Quality Health Risk Index (AQHI)

 

Provides:

  • Air quality and pollen forecasts
  • Forecasts of health risks associated with air pollution and pollen
  • Personalized health risks due to O3, PM10, NOx and pollen via a diary
  • Information on synergistic effects of air pollution and pollen exposure

 

Makes use of: Copernicus CAMS ensemble forecast, local AQ forecasts, in situ monitoring, birch pollen forecasts, meteorological forecasts

 


Smart features:

  • Health risk forecast information via the web and an app for smart phones
  • Users can choose for which location they want to have forecasts of air quality and health risks
  • Provides link between AQ and health risks based on epidemiological evidence
  • Helps people to understand adverse health effects of both pollen and different air pollutants by keeping a diary of their health status
