Aether-Patras: Monitoring system of airborne particles 

Provides:

  • Urban AQ monitoring
  • Citizen’s engagement and environmental awareness
  • Support decision making of local/regional authorities, ministries, other agencies
  • Spatially representative outdoor exposure assessment accompanied by provision of personalized AQ
  • Validation of models and Copernicus model/satellite products for the spatial distribution of PM1, PM2.5 and PM10
  • Zttributing health effects to PM measurements, information & alerts

Makes use of: In situ, IoT smart sensors, PM2.5 and PM10 forecast from Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service and historical data from Sentinel 5P

  • Online and near-real time air quality information for citizens by integrating color coded air quality indices and cartographic visualizations
