SMURBS project actively participates in the 2nd Innovation Marathon City Challenge Crowdhackathon #smartcity 2, from 28 June to 1 July, 2018. The SMURBS team meets up at “Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center”, to support innovative proposals by contestants, who are encouraged to develop their ideas towards pilot services and application solutions for local government, in the benefit of urban development through new technologies. For smart ideas relevant to SMURBS’ theme framework (air quality, natural disasters and urban growth), the project team, from the position of “mentor”, will offer guidance for the up-scaling of the ideas, enhancing -where possible- the Earth Observation exploitation, and gateways for further uptake via networking and collaboration opportunities.
