ENVI4ALL+

ENVI4ALL+

ENVI4ALL+ is based on ENVI4ALL (http://envi4all.com) mobile application and integration of specialized, data from an urban AQ monitoring supersite. It offers information on current, forecasted, and historical air pollution levels, making use of open data on AQ and user-generated information.

The solution exploits Copernicus data from CAMS (https://atmosphere.copernicus.eu/) and in situ information for the calculation of the Air Quality Index (AQI): an index for reporting daily air quality based on the associated health effects people may experience from breathing polluted air. Users can also state their feeling (perception) on air quality to be used for estimating air pollution in areas where no open data are available, or for complementing existing information. It provides users with personalised alerts for poor air quality and practical advice for organising their activities.

Specialized AQ measurements from a monitoring urban supersite (e.g. those operating in the frame of ACTRIS, https://www.actris.eu/) will be utilized to generate tailored indicators and information for policy making and further citizen awareness. In addition, the WRF-Chem model will be performed for the greater area of Athens to provide advanced air pollution forecast information..
